What is EGUM
EGUM is a global certification brand. Businesses, products, and services certified against the EGUM Standard carry the EGUM mark — a signal that they have been independently assessed and found to meet a defined, published, and regularly reviewed set of criteria.
The EGUM Standard is industry-informed, but EGUM-controlled. Like an ingredient brand, the mark sits on top of other people's businesses — across industries, countries, and categories.
Evidence-based
Every criterion requires evidence, not assertion. Claims are provable, not assumed.
Industry-informed
Category standards are shaped through consultation with industry participants, experts, and charter members.
EGUM-controlled
Only EGUM defines the standard, makes the assessment decision, and awards the mark.
Publicly verifiable
Every mark is live and checkable. The verification record never leaves EGUM.
"The mark can travel. The verification record never leaves EGUM."
The Certification System
The four letters of EGUM map directly to the four certification tiers. Each letter represents a level of verified trust — from listed to premium certified.
The business is real, legally registered, and accurately represented. The foundation of trust.
Identity verified · Active operation · Accurate information
The business operates openly — pricing, ownership, terms, and communication are transparent and accessible.
Pricing published · Ownership disclosed · Complaint process
The business meets the full EGUM Standard — verifiable claims, transparent operations, and demonstrated accountability.
Operational transparency · Checkable claims · Impact statement
Reserved for category leaders. Independently audited. Annually reported. The most coveted mark in the system.
Independent audit · Annual report · Named accountability
How It Works
Select the tier you wish to achieve. Each tier builds on the last — all lower-tier criteria must be met. Review the published EGUM Standard to understand what evidence is required.
Complete the application form with supporting evidence for each criterion. Applications can be submitted directly or through an approved EGUM Integration Partner.
The EGUM assessment team reviews your evidence. We may request a verification call or additional documentation. A decision is communicated within 20 business days.
On certification, you receive your EGUM Verification ID, digital badge, and EGUM scan code. Display the mark on your website, packaging, signage, and communications. Renew annually.
Verification
EGUM verification only occurs through EGUM-controlled surfaces. A copied, lapsed, or revoked mark cannot produce a valid EGUM verification record.
On any digital surface, the EGUM badge links directly to an EGUM-hosted verification page. The authoritative record is served by EGUM — not by the business displaying the mark.
On physical packaging, signage, and labels, the EGUM scan code resolves to the official EGUM verification endpoint. Works on any smartphone. No app required.
Search any business, Verification ID, or scan any code directly in the EGUM app or at egum.com. The public register shows all active, expired, and revoked certifications.

Integration Partners
Approved companies can integrate with the EGUM Partner API and help their own clients work toward certification. Partners facilitate. EGUM decides.
